Mounting your shelves

Each shelf hangs on steel rods fixed in the wall. You drill the holes in the wall; we've already drilled the holes in the shelf.

Before you order: check your wall

  • Hidden rods suit solid walls best: [suitable walls].
  • For plasterboard and other hollow walls: [what to do on hollow walls].
  • Check for cables and pipes with a detector before you drill.

Step by step

  1. Mark the rod positions on the wall, using the measurements in your mounting guide.
  2. Drill the holes, [hole diameter and depth], and clean out the dust.
  3. Fix the rods [how the rods are fixed in the wall].
  4. Slide the shelf onto the rods until it sits flat against the wall.
  5. Check that it's level. Wait [waiting time before loading] before you put anything on it.
